Impromptu Studio is Des Moines’ Premiere Coworking Community for Shared Workspaces. Office residents will enjoy all of the comforts of a regular office without the “pain” of living in cubeland. We take care of the office and it’s amenities. You take care of your business while networking with our other business owners just like you.
We see Iowa’s brain drain as a serious problem and are offering up Impromptu Studio as one part of the solution. Members can grow their own business by tapping into the resources we offer. Social interaction and networking opportunities that have people are moving out of Iowa can be found within our environment.
Impromptu Studio aims to foster connections between local business owners and entrepreneurs. Our members will also have a diverse pool of resources to draw from in the communtiy since every coworker with have a different specialty and level of experience. This dual pronged approach of community integration allows our members to become acquainted at multiple levels with individuals and businesses that can help them succeed for the years that follow.
Born out of need, Impromptu Studio is the permanent home for Redship Technologies a software development company, owned by Daniel Shipton, and will serve as the workspace’s host company. Daniel Shipton and Abbie Shipton made the decision to open a coworking space here in Des Moines after deciding that Daniel needed an office out of their home. Daniel had been doing research into moving his office out of their basement and into a “real” office but was looking for an office space that would offer more than 4 walls and an internet connection. They stumbled upon the term “coworking” and immediately fell in love with the concept. With none like it yet started in Des Moines they decided to start one for themselves. With the help and support of many local young enrepreneurs Impromptu Studio is off to a great start. Stop by and see it for yourself!
